Only 45 kilometers away from the City. Give yourself a break and you will even forget the cold. Magical in winter... It is closed in wintertime so be careful of the ice. Pretty but maybe dangerous.
We visited the Toronto area on a cool, sunny day in late September. This park may be very busy in summer, but it provided us a quiet, peaceful place to walk and enjoy the lake and woods. The only "fly in the ointment": the path that looked to circle the entire heart-shaped lake was interrupted by a housing development
Beautiful park with one of the best Fall settings for pictures. My kids and I came here last October. Noticed they have a tree-trek adventure but haven't tried it yet. Will certainly drop by next year in 2019.
It's over 418 acres conservation area, it has thick cluster of tree, beautiful trails, bbq areas, splash and pools, tree tracking , lakes and much more. Fall colors are very beautiful. It's an ideal place for spring and fall photography. You can do fishing as well l. It's well kept and maintained. See the fall colors in the pictures I added.
I finally convinced my fiancee to take me to this park as I've lived here for a year and a half and haven't seen it yet. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised. This is quite the nice park, lots of facilities/amenities - for picnics, swimming pools, Tree-Top trekking, walking trails with tagged trees, etc. - obviously the season has all but ended but summers not far off!
