Went here during winter for skating with my family. Lots of families which gives it a more festive and easy going vibe.At night the light is lit and gives it a nice and warm picturesque scene.There is a nice skate trail that encircles the gazebo.Definitely would come back again.
I decided to take my girls today to Gage Park as the weather was plus 7 & they had to skate off their buffet lunch. We went for a bit more that an hour & its a lovely park to enjoy. The zamboine went out once while we were there & of course when children arent supervised they go a bit wild. There were a few boys that were skating a little too close for comfort & braking too closely to other skaters that were just beginners. Not cool. But all in all a lovely time. Im sure when its snowing the pictures must be magnificent. Good job Brampton
The place is located near the city hall but if too many people start gathering here they'll face a huge problem of parking and congestion. The rink is maintained for skating during winters and you have to bring your own skates, you can't rent them from the park itself at nominal rates. It's well lit during Christmas though and is one of the main attractions for everyone on NYE. On NYE, nearby roads are blocked usually.
Came here for a night of skating and had so much fun! Lots of benches and picnic tables for sitting, and the park was decorated so nicely for Christmas time. Renting skates was also very quick and easy.
Great time had by whole family, fun skating, great light decor, and best price...free! It wasn't packed and the weather was perfect, plus the almighty bonus "roasting of a marshmallow". And my little one even got to play in the playground (makes for a great sleep for her and her parents!). Even though the teenagers were starting to fill the park everyone was out for a good night
