We didn't realize this is a cash only place and were a little over $2 short on our order. We asked the wonderful lady serving us to take the fries off the order and she insisted that she would cover it and for us to pay it forward, which we certainly will. Coming forever. It was dad who found this place when Fire Pit was across the street. Never a disappointment. John you rock. Always patient when it allows it. Plus a good laugh and a joke all while focusing at the task at hand. 100% never dogs. Keep it the way it is
Great mom and pop burger joint. Cash only. Don't worry, there is an atm inside. Tends to be busy around dinner hours (6-7pm) especially on Fridays and Saturdays.Food is fantastic, I usually get a cheeseburger or a banquet burger. Other menu items include pita, hot dogs, sausage, fries, onion rings, milkshakes, wings and of course, deep fried pickles.
If you want an authentic hamburger in Brampton, your best choice is Sonny's Drive In. When you place your order, it is grilled up right after. The size of the burger was one of the biggest I've had. For customizing your burger there was the standard toppings such as ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, hot peppers, mayo, etc. The prices are very reasonable; however, make sure to bring cash as they do not accept other forms of payment. There is an atm in the store if you do need to use it. As the name suggests, this is a drive in, so there is no seating inside. Overall, a great experience from one of the oldest businesses in Brampton.
Amazing place! A staple in Brampton for generations! Every local has memories of Sonny's growing up with friends and family. What truly makes Sonny's great beside their food is their incredible staff and Sonny's owner! Brampton wouldn't be the same without Sonny's! We're lucky to have them!
