The store is usually well stocked, reasonably well maintained, prices are low, the workers are friendly and helpful, and their art auctions are great!

I shop here all the time as it is the closest grocery store to my house. Good prices but lately this store has gone downhill. The meat section is practically empty every time i have gone lately. There is a whole aisle where one side of the freezer has been broken for more then a month now. This store is getting worse and worse.
What I like about Food Basics are their prices. Very competitive indeed. Lots of parking which is another plus. However, they do not price match. They do offer rain checks, though those are time sensitive, so people like me may never cash in on that.
