This is the place to go if you are looking for different items from across the world. They have an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables that you do not find a normal grocery stores. They also have various sauces rice seasonings noodles and just different things that can make for a very good meal. The selection in the bakery is good as well they also have an on-site deli but you need to pay at the deli as it is probably owned. The butcher shop offers halal items and the fish market has different types of seafood and fish available for purchase. The lineups can get quite long Be prepared to wait. The parking lot is crazy so be prepared to park far. Shopping carts also take a loony not $.25 overall very good experience and the prices are excellent as well. They also have a hot table which sells combos for less than $10
Dont purchase Oxtail from this place its kangaroo. I purchased it today on sale and came home to cook it for dinner. As I began eating it I realized the meat was a lot whiter than it should be. Its definitely was not and oxtail but a kangaroo tail. Very deceiving! These people need to be reported!
I ran into the same problem just like many...the employees don't speak English or pretend that they don't understand English. This perhaps will limit the conversation while being employed as servers. The owner needs to understand that majority of the people who shopped here are not Chinese. After all this is Brampton, you get the picture who shops here......Continue........I have been back few times to do grocery shopping here and have seen big improvements. I started to see more Indians or perhaps Pakistanis girls at the cashier. As we all know the Indians tend to speak English quite well even though they just freshly " off the boat".That doesn't mean the store started to fire those that can't speak English. Hope not.For this effort Ample Food Market has earned my 4 stars (for now). Of course my rule is no reduction of stars, once you get it , you get it period!.After all NO MEXICO IS GOING TO PAY FOR THE WALL . So if you want it you have to technically EARN IT.
We go here almost every week for their fruits, vegetables, shrimp and random sale items. Like every grocery store, you have to be mindful with what you choose. Although they are a predominately Asian store, there is quite a variety. I am always trying something new there from various cultural cusines - Asian, West Indian, African, Middle Eastern, Indian etc. they have it. Right down to a Halal counter.
Amazing place.. excellent variety and the availability of the items are superb. The choices make one want to buy all of the item... Definitely a place I could see myself coming again and shopping for groceries...
