I didn't actually used the gym, I only checked out the place. Looks alright. But I spotted a problem trainer who used to work for the Rec Centre, so I didn't even want to try it out. He's always 5 minutes late, then change in class while you warm up. On weekend mornings, he's often still drunk. He tells you what you like to hear, instead of science. He likes to push people to the point of injury to market himself as "good" trainer. He brags and say, "It's not my fault, he ate sushi before." or "It's not my fault, she should have told me if she can't lift that much." I was there. He told them to believe him, "I wouldn't tell you to do the exercise if I didn't think you can do it."When I first met him, he saw my luxury car and kept marketing himself to me as personal trainer. Trying to push me too far, but he didn't know that I workout 5 times a week so it was all pretty easy. After a year, he realized I don't do personal training and just ignore me in class. As I said, he's always late and unprepared. I complained about him being late and drunk at work. He then told other trainers and they started to be mean to me. I complained further and found out he was hired by his mom. Then I guess his mom told him to switch job and here he is for the past 2 years.Trainer pushing too far is not news, what annoys me is how slimey he is. If you believe in low-carb, he would say, "Yeah, you can eat all you want, it's all about the carbs." If you counter calories, he would say, "It's about portion control. People avoiding carbs are stupid." His signature move is telling overweight middle aged women they aren't fat, they just need to "tone". Most of his clients are very happy with him, but also fatter as they train.

Orangetheory Fitness offers a great full body workout that is coached by motivational trainers, encouraged by loud music, and set in a dimly lit gym. It is one of the best hours of my day! I also enjoy reviewing my workout summery after each class on the OTbeat app.

Orange theory is amazing especially if you need that extra push! The trainers are motivating, the staff is friendly and the music is bumping especially when they play Spanish songs. OT is exactly what I needed before my trip to Europe. I enjoy the cardio, the rowing and the free weights. I always leave every class sweating! The orange point system is cool too! Do it up!

The workout is pretty good and very intense. Best for those that want to lose weight or work on their cardio. Not a replacement for weight lifting. The price is too high, especially for supplementary users (I go to LA Fitness for weight lifting too and wouldn't give it up entirely). Also, their "1 month ahead" cancellation policy means that you'll always pay for another month from when you cancel. I cancelled early because I didn't know whether or not I would continue on and didn't want to have to pay an additional month if I decided that I didn't want to keep going at any point.

Some of the front desk staff here ruin it for the club. They remind me of the movie "Mean Girls". 1example, (I have many) to get you to sign up, they call you every couple of days religiously so nice and friendly. Then when you have signed up and they see you around the club, they cant even crack a smile. For an elite club with elite pricing, get elite staff, not planet fitness staff.
